Had the classic poutine. Fries here are really bad (for a place with fries in the name, what are they doing?) but the gravy was mid and the cheese was decent (curd-like) and the ratios were really good (nice amount of cheese), so it gets a 3/5.
Horrible!!! I was standing at Tim Hortons staring at New York fries but I couldn’t go there because they were closed. All I wanted was a poutine to help me through my latest breakup and I couldn’t get it. I am very disappointed and even more depressed then I was before. I am now standing in the rain over-indulging on chocolate glazed donuts and drowning my sorrows in double doubles.
We got a chili dog and a poutine today and had a good experience here. The worker should get a raise for being the only one working during a lunch rush.
If there’s no one else ordering when you’re there, don’t. Fries will be luke warm at best from a batch they made previously. They’ve changed their packaging from an overly stuffed paper cup to a less than full brown box. For the price you pay, seeing a half full container is completely disappointing. A medium fry and a small poutine cost us $12. And with the pandemic all toppings are hidden away and you hope the counter person listens to your request when you ask for a giant handful of vinegar or lots of Cajun spice on top... they didn’t.
I got butter chicken fries, the gravy was not even warm. I took the order back and asked them if they can give me warm gravy. The chesse on fries wasn’t melted as well. The guy said this is how we serve. They asked me if i want more gravy they can give me extra. People don’t complaint to get extra. People complaint when they don’t get service they expected.
Our hot dogs were cold , had a poutine that the fries were discussing fravy was cold and the cheese curds stayed solid. Very poor food never eating New York Fries or any of their food again
Figure out your hotdogs, this place never has any ready despite rotating staff a few times. 1 of the last 10 times coming through here they had them ready. It's the only location of nyf I've had this issue at this consistently.
