I have been dealing with Legend Boats Barrie since 2011 when I purchased my Xcalibur 18 from them. Each year they have been winterizing it (boat, engine and trailer), as well recommended engine service, and anything else that comes up. At every visit, I have been made to feel as a valued customer and treated with appreciation. The boat and motor set has seen use on many lakes and rivers in Ontario over the years and provided smooth, comfortable and dependable cruising. The technical knowledge and execution of the crew has been a big part of why I have had so much faith and pleasure with the boat, on top of the the great design by Legend. Over the years, many members of the staff have had a hand in processing my service orders and they have all treated me very well. Lately, the person who has been involved in handling my requests and enquiries and coordinating repairs and testing is Kevin Kett. As a Customer Experience Specialist, he has the sanction, at management's discretion, to call into play many facets of the team to diagnose and solve customer's issues. Kevin has handled this very well with me, keeping me updated regularly and politely. It was encouraging, through a rather complex engine diagnostic situation this year, that I knew he would ensure that it would be successfully completed. I have now asked Legend Boats Barrie, to shrink wrap and store the boat for the winter, following the usual winterization. I highly recommend them for both sales and service.
Kevin and Chris are both friendly and knowledgeable. This was a 1st time boat buy for me and I had a lot to learn. They were both patient. A big plus for me. There were a couple of hiccups with getting the boat ready for pickup, but it was expected and worth the wait. Kevin handled all of that end very well. I have only been out in the boat once so far, but love, love, love it.
Just picked up my 17XT. Everyone at Legend Boats has been absolutely phenomenal! This is the only boat manufacturer I'll ever buy from. Amazing experience!
When I purchased my boat I was greeted like family member I had individual attention while I was looking at their boats ,very informative about there product and there service is outstanding .Then we had are boat stolen and of course we bought a second Legend boat because of the quality and performance and we got the same treatment as if we where first time buyers the personal at Barrie legend are top notch in my book
I love my Legend boat. 2017. Xtr 16 with 60 Hp efti and motorguide trolling motor. It came with everything. I couldn’t want a better boat on a lake near Temagami. Gets me right into shore and is easy to maneauver and dock and is stable and easy to operate. Hauling stuff to the cabin - speed around 27 mph without a heavy load or high winds. I Love the flip over back seats / deck especially loading gear then flip - great seats. Same with front of the boat as a crossover. Having the deck pads is fabulous when on Georgian Bay and cruising islands and swimming for when I am not hauling stuff or fishing. Dealing with legend for purchase was so easy and supportive. I started to bring the boat home for the last two years for storage and so returned to Legend for winterization and other occasional needs. The team is personable and professional, the costs reasonable and often they make suggestions for small needs that save future expenses that I wouldn’t know about. They pay attention to detail. They are busy and have a smoothly run operation and excellent communication. I had only operated small aluminum boats and 9 hp motors but mostly canoes. They were totally supportive of me (a gal) buying a boat and learning. Highly recommended. Now I’m on my 9th season. I wouldn't choose differently. I love my boat and am so happy I chose Legend.
