I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this repair shop has left me so frustrated that I feel it's important to share my story to help others avoid making the same mistake. I went in for a screen replacement and was sold a faulty screen right off the bat. When that didn’t work, I returned for a second repair, only for them to install the second screen incorrectly, which ended up causing even more damage to my phone. What really bothered me, though, was that they gave me the option to pay cash, but when the repairs failed, they denied any warranty coverage, claiming cash payments weren’t eligible for a warranty. This felt incredibly dishonest and frustrating, especially considering the poor quality of their work. There are much better, more professional phone repair services in Barrie with more reasonable prices and genuine customer service. I would recommend looking elsewhere for repairs if you want your device properly taken care of. I truly hope this business can learn from these issues and improve their services. Moving forward, I won’t be returning and would advise others to be cautious.
I have had a terrible experience with CR phones. Paid 250 for a new phone screen and it stopped working within a week. It would get pixelated and would shut off randomly which is awful because I work from home. I told the owner about this, and she said there’s no warranty but she would be nice enough to fix it (as if she thought she was doing me a favour). The screen was also laggy which is due to cheap quality screens that have low refresh rates. It couldn’t keep up with videos on tik tok, and I couldn’t not scroll fast through any app without the screen lagging. She then fixed it but installed the screen incorrectly, not sealing it properly at all. A small amount of water got on the screen and it stopped working completely. I told her about this, drove an hour 1 way, all for her to then say it’ll be an additional $180 to fix it which was not what she said over text. Using this business was a waste of time, gas and effort. They are not willing to help you out at all! Look elsewhere! Lots of other places with an actual store front that are willing to help you for cheaper!
Nothing but fast and great service from these guys! Have had numerous iPad and iPhone screens replaced successfully and for a great price. Highly recommended!!
There is no other service in the greater Barrie area that will provide the level of customer service and bring the satisfaction that one looks for in a mom and pop operation. I’ve done drop off and mail-in and there’s no difference in the quality of their work and you won’t beat their prices on repair or retail purchases!!
Just went back for a second time, prices for a phone repair were great, repairs were done in less than 24 hours. They deserve a 10 star review! Ordered a couple accessories that were impossible to get or really expensive elsewhere. CRP had them in two days, excellent prices and great service.
Stay away from this place unless you plan on only using your phone for Two months. Paid for screen replacement, screen popped out two months later, so she re-repaired it and Two months after, the screen stopped working completely. Told me I can pay her for another replacement at a discounted rate... Save yourself the trouble and take it to a professional.
